Black Friday shopping *HOOT*

For the first time in my life I went shopping on Black Friday, even though I have heard about it before, my mother didn't have a clue what it was and she has never gone shopping on Black Friday. And the reason we went shopping today was because Auntie Barbara ( Moms friend from 15 years ago before I was born) came to our house all charged up to go shopping, she knew exactly what to get and exactly where to go. So Mom and I tagged along with her. We had so much fun! I got to learn more about Moms friend and their sweet friendship. After finishing shopping Mom and I got our nails done. We met Auntie Barbara's husband, Dad, and Nellie, at Del Taco and had our favorite meal, this has been our Del Taco tradition that we have had for ever with them since we lived in San Diego, CA from 10 years ago. They are a very sweet couple. They just moved recently to Phoenix and we have a great time. Besides Mr. John is a great kitchen carpenter and he has been redoing our kitchen cupboards and counters, I can't wait for it to get done. It's going to look so good! So my post was about Black Friday. Am I going to go shopping on Black Friday again? Maybe! But the main fun was being able to spend time with my Mom and Auntie Barbara. I did manage to work with DeeKay, and take a bareback ride with my Mom's horse Virgil while my Dad and Nellie and Mom followed me walking around the block.

Thanksgiving 2011

We got to spend Thanksgiving at our house, we did all the cooking and invited our good friends Miss Barbara and Uncle John. The turkey came out very moist and delicious, the mashed potatoes were great, But the biggest hit from what everybody said was the green bean casserole that I made. I was so humbled by their praise and encouragement, in fact! I liked my bean casserole too! I think I'm going to have to save this recipe for future Thanksgiving meals *God willing*.

Auntie Barbara brought no-bake cookies. They were delicious! the weird thing that we bought was Eggnog ice cream (ugg!) It was a waste of money. We did take a walk around the block with me and Nellie riding our horses. Then Mr. John insisted on taking a ride and looking at houses (he loves the area where we live) and wanted to see if there was any property for sale. And Nellie and I got to sit in the bed of his DODGE RAM pick up truck!!!!!!!!! *SWEET* we even laid down a looked at the sky, the sunset was so beautiful.
After we came back we had ice cream and pumpkin pie, and chocolate oatmeal no-bake cookies. Overall, we had a sweet time of friendship and a wonderful Thanksgiving day!

I am so thankful for all the blessings in my life.
